Oh Seven Days x Hannah Rae Powell

 Art meets fashion as OhSevenDays launches their new collection featuring custom prints from Melbourne-based artist Hannah Rae Powell. The Sunday Hannah Blouse, Saturday Basic Body and Sunday Hannah Sweater are the perfect marriage of OhSevenDays classic aesthetic and Hannah’s abstract illustrations.

“We stumbled across Hannah’s work on Instagram and were instantly inspired by the strong portrayal of the female form throughout her work and the dreamy colour palettes. The fluidity of the forms worked so well within our collection”, says OhSevenDays designer and founder, Megan Mummery.

Hannah’s illustrations are a celebration of femininity through the use of abstract form, fluidity and playful characters. Touching on themes of emotional movement, growth and relationships, Hannah’s work combines pattern and repetition to explore both her personal story and to celebrate womanhood. The collaboration further explores these concepts and was inspired by movement, both emotional and physical.

The stone washed cupro fabrics, loose cuts and soft illustrations perfectly capture and celebrates the fluidity of female shapes symbolising emotional movement and the entanglement of human connection.

This collection goes beyond the wardrobe as a celebration and promotion of love. Love for yourself, others and womanhood through Hannah’s powerful illustration. And love of the planet and environment as OhSevenDays crafts understated staples from reclaimed materials
